Ford Mustang Grabber Lime, cattivissima per San Patrizio

Il verde è una delle quattro nuove tinte speciali. Sotto il cofano l'immancabile V8

Ford ha celebrato il giorno di San Patrizio - per chi non lo sapesse si festeggia il 17 marzo - nel modo migliore possibile: con una cattivissima Mustang Shelby GT500 (la Ford più potente attualmente sul mercato americano) in livrea Grabber Lime, un mix cromatico tra il verde del trifoglio e l'arrabbiatissimo Hulk.

Il colore come estensione dello spirito

Il colore trae ispirazione dalle muscle car vintage degli anni '70 ed è una delle quattro nuove verniciature dedicate alla Mustang del 2020. Le altre sono l'arancione Twister Orange, il grigio Iconic Silver e il rosso Red Hot Metallic; tinte speciali di cui però ancora non si conoscono i prezzi.

Barb Whalen, Designer dell'Ovale Blu, afferma come "questi colori retrò, luminosi e vivaci, sono ora di tendenza nel mondo design; dall'arredamento per la casa, all'abbigliamento sportivo e persino negli elettrodomestici. Sono colori divertenti e giovanili che esprimono come vuoi essere e come vuoi che il mondo ti veda. La macchina è un'estensione di questo".

Sotto, l'immancabile V8

Sotto il cofano non può mancare l'enorme V8 che distingue le versioni più potente della muscle car americana. Anche questa Shelby GT500 non è da meno, con il propulsore che arriva qui a 700 CV per un'accelerazione da 0 a 100 km/h in circa 3 secondi.

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Ford is unveiling Grabber Lime for the 2020 Mustang. More potent than krypton-ite, this high-impact green inspired by a vintage Mustang color from the 1970s is sure to leave other muscle cars green with envy.

“It’s lime green on steroids,” said Barb Whalen, Ford color and materials manager. “This color traces back to a Mustang heritage color while bringing it forward with more modern, dynamic pigments and bold new energy.”

Grabber Lime is one of two new feature colors available across the Mustang lineup for 2020; Twister Orange is the other. In addition, new Iconic Silver and Red Hot Metallic will freshen up the new Mustang palette, including for Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT500 models.

“These bright, vibrant retro colors are trending in design – in home furnishings, sportswear and even appliances,” said Whalen. “Aspirational and confident, they are fun, youthful colors that make a statement of how you want the world to see you and who you want to be. And your car is an extension of that.”

The new 2020 Ford Mustang arrives this fall.
